The downloaded beta version of SEEAR will run with full functionality for 12 months. We understand that the beta version requires a very large download and works best with a modern fast computer, and we are working on an improved version. Your feedback and suggestions are very welcome.
After downloading the application from this page, open the zip file to see the contents. Then double click on SeeearInstaller_web.exe to launch the installer. Allow Windows to run the installer, overriding any system warnings about an unrecognized application.
When prompted by the installer, choose the default options. It is fine to check the desktop shortcut option. Agree to the license terms when prompted. The installer will now download the additional required libraries and it is normal for this to take 10 minutes or more depending on you internet speed. You can use your computer normally while this phase is taking place.
When the installation is complete, launch SEEAR from either the desktop shortcut or the start menu. The first start will take up to 1 minute. It is normal for the splash screen to disappear several seconds before the application is ready to run. As soon as the application loads as shown in the picture below, it is ready to use.
After downloading SeeearInstaller_web.app from this page, use the Finder to locate it and copy to the Desktop. This phase is truly needed or else the installation may fail with some cryptic error messages. Then from the Desktop, launch the installer, and override any warnings about the application not being from a trusted source.

It is advisable to connect the computer to the main power supply to prevent it from going into sleep mode, which may cause the download to hang and not restart upon wakeup.
When the installation is complete, use the Finder to launch the SEEAR application with control-click. Under macOS there is no splash screen. The application may take up to 1 minute for the first launch. As soon as the application loads as shown in the picture below, it is ready to use.
